About the space
This 6.5 acre property begins along McKenzie Highway and reaches all the way to the shore of the McKenzie River. Guests are encouraged to explore and enjoy the 5 acres of active hazelnut orchard, long stretches of river shoreline, and various spacious gathering spaces throughout the property.

Camp David
Camp David marks the stretch of riverbank where the churning waters of the McKenzie soften into gentle eddies—an inviting place for swimming, fishing, and entering the river. The steady thrum of water over boulders, along with the presence of ospreys, eagles, and other wildlife, creates a quiet reminder of God’s creation at work.
Benches and a campfire pit offer space to slow down, reflect, and pray. A staircase—built with the help of students from Sheldon High School—provides safe access to the riverbank, where small trails lead to a rocky peninsula and a quiet swimming hole.
Here, life slows. Guests are invited to abide with God and find renewal in His presence, as steady and life-giving as the river itself.

The Orchard
As much a living landscape as an amenity, the hazelnut orchard invites an immersive kind of stillness. Its even rows and dense canopy create a natural rhythm for slow, restorative walks in every season.
With more than 40 rows of trees, the orchard also forms a natural buffer, offering privacy and quiet from the nearby highway. Each year, the family sets aside a small portion of the harvest to share and enjoy.
The Chapel
The Chapel, named for the long pews it once hosted, is an ideal space for all-day retreats and larger gatherings. At 1,400 square feet, it is filled with natural light from large windows overlooking both the orchard and the river. The space is divided into three flexible zones that can be easily reconfigured for a variety of uses.
On the north side, couches and chairs create a comfortable setting for small group gatherings and intimate conversation. The central area features a large conference table with an optional rolling whiteboard, well suited for teaching or discussion. On the river side, a coffee bar, banquet tables for shared meals, and a fully equipped kitchen—including refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, sink, and stocked dishware—support hospitality and group dining.
A connected bathroom with shower adds convenience for extended stays. The Chapel has its own entrance through a covered porch overlooking the orchard, offering a quiet place to sit and reflect. On the west side, guests step onto a fully furnished covered patio with sweeping views of the river’s boulder field, complete with a Flat Iron grill for outdoor cooking.

The Game Room
The spacious room offers a versatile setting for both recreation and study, featuring a pool table, TV, library, and a queen-size Murphy bed. Guests can enjoy a private patio and an expansive bathroom with a large soaking tub overlooking the river, as well as a double-headed shower.
Though connected to the chapel, The Game Room has its own secure entrance, allowing it to function either as an extension of the chapel space or as a comfortable overnight retreat for a guest speaker or leader.
The Downstairs
The downstairs is a private, first-floor apartment with its own entrance, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. The main sleeping area includes a queen-size bed, bunk beds, a daybed, and an optional airbed, while a separate bedroom offers additional space with a queen-size airbed.
Guests will find a full bathroom with a shower, as well as a convenient kitchenette equipped with a microwave and mini fridge. The living room features a cozy wood stove, a pull-out couch, and comfortable seating, while the dining area includes a table and reclining chairs positioned to take in views of the river.
Outside, a private patio provides a peaceful place to relax, complete with seating and an outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off after time spent along the McKenzie River.
